Dr. John Soldatos holds a Phd in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (2000). Dr. Soldatos is a world class expert in Internet-of-Things (IoT) technologies and applications, including IoT’s applications in smart cities and the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0 & Industrial Internet of Things).
Dr. Soldatos has played a leading role in the successful delivery of more than fifty (50) (commercial-industrial, research and consulting) projects, for both private & public sector organizations, incl. some complex integrated projects.
He is co-founder of the open source platforms OpenIoT and AspireRFID. He has published more than 150 articles in international journals, books and conference proceedings. He has also significant academic teaching experience, along with experience in corporate training. Dr. Soldatos is regular contributor in various international magazines and blogs, as well as in social media, where he is among the influencers of the IoT community. Moreover, Dr. Soldatos has received national and international recognition through appointments in standardization working groups, expert groups and various boards.
