Hydro-desulfurization process is typically a catalytic chemical process which is mostly used for removing sulfur from natural and refined petroleum products such as gasoline, petrol, jet fuel, kerosene, etc. By removing sulfur the sulfur content from the emissions of the fuels can be decreased resulting in better and environment friendly fuels. Additionally, removing sulfur from the fuels results in the petroleum refinery is that the sulfur content poisons and diminishes the properties of the noble metal catalysts such as platinum and rhenium involved in the catalytic reforming units used for upgrading the octane rating of naphtha streams. In the industrial hydro-desulfurization processes, capture and removal of hydrogen sulfide is done in the petroleum refineries. This processing unit removing the sulfur content from the fuel streams is termed as a hydrotreater. The hydroteater unit or hydro-desulfurization unit in an industry consists of a fixed bed reactor working at elevated temperatures ranging from 300 C to 400 C and pressures ranging from 30 to 130 atmospheres of the absolute pressure.
